Improvement is part of the golden thread of quality creating a continuous culture of improvement and learning for the health and care system to ultimately deliver effective and timely treatment or care and improve the outcomes and experience for our population in Dorset.<\/p>\n<p>Key is that an \u2018improvement\u2019 project utilises the right approach, the right tool, at the right time, involving the right people. The \u2018right\u2019 approach will depend on project focus and purpose. Sometimes the distinction between \u2018approaches\u2019 can be difficult to navigate and the activities will be overseen and supported by different teams\/departments within an organisation. In order to help clarify these distinctions, we have created a simple <a href=\"https:\/\/ourdorset.org.uk\/innovation\/project-definitions\/\">project definitions guide<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Signposting to national improvement resources<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/aqua.nhs.uk\/qsir-tools\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AQUA<\/a> (Advancing Quality Alliance) including the Quality, service improvement and redesign (QSIR) Tool library.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.england.nhs.uk\/nhsimpact\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NHS IMPACT<\/a> (Improving Patient Care Together) the new, single, share NHS improvement approach including resources, case studies, learning and support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>National Quality Improvement (QI) Week<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Quality Improvement (QI) week is an annual celebration of the power of QI and the brilliant work happening across NHS providers. It is a chance to learn from each other, be inspired, and connect with others who are passionate about making things better.
