A new website, developed in Dorset, has launched to support healthcare communications across the NHS in England.
This highly requested resource is a huge win for sharing successful, award-winning campaigns. It will help wider NHS systems and local partners to communicate with local communities and encourage behaviour change.
Our highly sought-after, HSJ Award-winning Only Order What You Need campaign has been rolled out in Cheshire and Merseyside, Gloucestershire and Surrey. We have made it even easier for ICBs and healthcare partners to adopt the campaign by uploading the communications plan, evaluation and all editable design files.
With our Nursing Times Award-winning Hydration pilot in talks to be adopted nationally, the media centre couldn’t have launched at a better time.
Kirsty Hillier, Deputy Director of Communication and Engagement, said:

‘Over the past year campaign sharing has grown among NHS organisations in Dorset, the South West and beyond. The Media Centre enables simple asset sharing, giving time and resource back to communications teams across the country.
‘We work closely with our wider health, care and voluntary sector partners to communicate and engage with local communities, so having a way to share our campaign assets with them at the click of a button is incredibly useful and will really make a difference to the way we share campaigns in the future.
‘This new site will allow us to streamline resource sharing, allow for closer and seamless communication across Our Dorset Integrated Care Partnership and beyond.’
It is still early days for the Media Centre, and we would love to hear your feedback. If you want to share your thoughts, please email communication@nhsdorset.nhs.uk
