The delivery function within the Strategy and Transformation Directorate is here to support NHS Dorset and the wider ICS with professional, qualified and experienced personnel equipped with the specialist leadership and methodological expertise required to achieve successful change and/or transformational project and programme management.
Drawing from a range of industry-recognised best practice modes of project and programme management, the team operates on a consultancy approach. In the past, we have looked to external suppliers for this, and whilst it has served a purpose, it is not sustainable long-term due to the high costs involved. In the current economic climate, we have to make the most of our revenue sources, which are largely public funds. To ensure a sustainable, efficient and value for money service, the Delivery Team workforce can be deployed to workstreams aligning to ICS priorities. Request for support are assessed by the Department Head based upon their urgency, timeframe/length of deployment required, skillset needed and team capacity.
