<\/i><\/i><\/span>Getting Started: Projects and Change<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>

This is a Health Education England programme in partnership with the NHS and professional bodies.<\/p>\n

The session will cover an introduction to project management, starting with what it is, why it is important and how it will help you. The session will then move onto explaining further important information on projects and their close links to change, benefits and business as usual activities. Finally, exploring different types of project methods that are available to use, and in which situations they may be used.<\/p>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/span>PM Lite<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>

PM Lite<\/strong>\u00a0is an introductory course to project management and is aimed at individuals who are new to project management or those who are looking to refresh their knowledge.\u200bThis training has been designed by\u00a0experienced experts\u00a0<\/strong>from across\u00a0\u2018Our\u00a0Dorset<\/strong>.\u2019<\/p>\n

It focuses on providing the\u00a0relevant tools\u00a0<\/strong>and knowledge to help those delivering\u00a0projects or transformation within\u00a0health and social care<\/strong>\u00a0across the system.\u200b The course is open to any \u2018Our Dorset\u2019 staff across the system.<\/p>\n

PM Lite<\/strong>\u00a0has been designed around the\u00a0Project Management Competency Framework<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

This consists of twelve competencies based around outcomes that project professionals within \u2018Our Dorset\u2019 should strive to achieve.<\/p>\n

Each competency includes a description of behaviours, skills and knowledge expected at different levels of project management within \u2018Our Dorset\u2019.<\/p>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/span>QI Lite<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>

QI Lite is an interactive two-hour course, which gives participants a quick and basic understanding of quality improvement (QI). It is aimed at individuals who are new to the subject and want to understand what we mean by QI and how we can use an improvement methodology in our everyday roles. The course introduces QI methodology and some of the commonly used tools to support you in making small improvements in your work area. It is open to both local authority and healthcare staff, whether operational, clinical, non-clinical, or commissioning and is free of charge.<\/p>\n
