Sandra Courtiour is a Research & Innovation Programme Manager at NHS Dorset ICB, supporting system-wide research and innovation initiatives. She provides facilitative advice, tailored support for priority projects, leads communications, and supports the innovation education programme in partnership with Health Sciences University.
With over 20 years’ experience in the NHS, Sandra has held roles in cancer services, clinical audit, research, and innovation. She is passionate about using robust evaluation and high-quality data to improve service user experience, outcomes, and service planning. Sandra champions the power of qualitative insights and patient storytelling to shape services that truly matters to communities.
Her previous research includes a study on anxiety in surgical patients, collaboration on a study eliciting barriers and enablers to performing the Sepsis Six care bundle, and collaboration on an evaluation of near real-time patient feedback to enhance relational aspects of care, coordinated by Picker Institute Europe.
