Smart Spray is a method of forensic tagging of offenders using off road bikes (mopeds, motorcycles, e-scramblers etc) which are used anti-socially or are stolen.
Dorset Police have recently adopted this new technology with the aims of:
• Reducing antisocial behaviour in the community
• Increasing the identification of the number of persons involved in these activities
• Recover stolen bikes and reunite them with their lawful owners
• Maximise detection of crime by identifying offenders and seizure of bikes
• Minimise risk of harm to public, offenders, and officers
• Maximise safety to public, offenders, and officers
• Minimise offending by detecting crimes and preventing further offending
