People who use health and social care services are in the best place to help design and improve them. We use the term patient and public involvement to describe involving people and local communities in planning, prioritising, purchasing, delivery, and evaluation of health and social care services.
Recognising the importance of patient and public involvement (PPI), the Dorset Innovation Hub is including PPI into our activities. This currently includes:
- a local priority project regarding nutrition in ageing people
- the local evaluation of the impact of the Dorset Innovation Hub.
We work with our PPI representatives, providing training and opportunities to comment on, and influence our work.
If you are interested in becoming one of our PPI representatives, please email dorsetinnovationhub@uhd.nhs.uk.
