Local GP and Chair of NHS Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), Dr Forbes Watson, has praised everyone working in primary care across Dorset, as following two recent re-inspections, all Dorset practices are now rated Good or Outstanding.
He said “At a time where all health services are seeing huge pressure whilst at the same time delivering a world class vaccination programme, these results are testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone working in primary care throughout the county.
“I would personally like to thank everyone for their support over what has been a difficult time whilst at the same time thank patients for their understanding of the pressures we are currently under.”
Dorset is one of the few areas in England that has all practices CQC rated as Good or Outstanding.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and social care in England. Their role is to make sure health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care.
