Yesterday saw the opening of the Our Dorset Development Hub in West Moors – a new initiative between Our Dorset partners and the Ministry of Defence (MOD) which will enable local organisations to work closer together, focussing on retention of the current workforce in Dorset whilst at the same time working to recruit and attract more people to work in the county.
The Our Dorset Development Hub will also act as a dedicated development facility, allowing teams and individuals to meet regularly, hold events and deliver training.
The opening marks the start of closer working between Our Dorset and the MOD who are committed to exploring other areas such as use of key worker housing and a better transition for those leaving the armed forces who are interested in working within NHS organisations or the local councils.
The Development Hub was officially opened by Dr Forbes Watson, Chair NHS Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) alongside Roger West, Director of Logistics and Delivery at Defence Equipment and Support.
